Navigating maze like medinas, making friends on 3 day cross country road trips, marveling at the milky way in the middle of the Sahara Desert, and watching the sunset over the Blue Pearl, nowhere else we have ever been has been quite as unique as Morocco. It’s a colorful country from the food to the rugs to the people and everyone we came across was incredibly friendly.
Tagine, Cous Cous, Africa!
Located in north Africa, Morocco is rich in berber and arabic culture with influence from both french and spanish invasion. The people of Morocco speak Moroccan arabic, a language unique to their country and many of them practice Islam. They come from many backgrounds and are proud of their history. We were fortunate enough to spend a week in this diverse country and although we flew into and out of Casablanca, we covered a lot of ground exploring few of the major cities and the Sahara desert.
